TIMOTHY CARROLL – ‘DANSHYTTAN’ SONG OF THE YEAR 2009
The 4th annual Q Song Awards were held at Brisbane’s Tivoli theatre last Tuesday night to celebrate the next generation of Queensland songwriters.
Mucho-Bravado was most proud to be represented by three outstanding artists in Timothy Carroll, Tara Simmons and Hungry Kids of Hungary, who all went head to head in the Folk/Ballad, Alternative and Courier Mail People’s Choice award.
Timothy Carroll was the darling of the night, and the only overall multiple award winner taking out the coveted Song of the Year, and also Folk/Ballad category with the worldly charming ‘Danshyttan’. This follows glowing accolades across the music press for his debut album For Bread & Circuses, as well as mainstream press including The Australian, and Courier Mail.

Hungry Kids of Hungary took out the Alternative category with triple j favourite ‘Set It Right’, cementing the win with a live performance of two tracks from the new EP Mega Mountain.
